Chromatic Ecology is an exploration of seasonally and geographically specific color, regeneratively foraged and cultivated, and applied to locally sourced fiber. This project takes place from April 2025 - September 2026 with many opportunities for participation!
Garden Volunteer Days take place every Tuesday evening from 6:30-8:00pm. Please be in touch for the address!
There will be a free, public event at the culmination of this project on Saturday September 5th from 1:00-3:00pm.

Chromatic Ecology Booklets
Chromatic Ecology Booklets are available for purchase! 100% of proceeds will go to the Hózhó Center. There is a short text about the work I made for this project and an image of the Color Chart woven with 16 different dye plants represented.
In recognition of the ecological cycles that shape this work, I propose an alternative model of ownership/stewardship. Because every element - from the organic fabrics and natural dyes to the seeds, stones, flowers, and mica - is derived entirely from the earth, collectors are invited to collaborate with the work by living with it for five years. At the end of this cycle, the piece will be buried (either by you or returned to me to bury). Returning these works to the soil is a natural continuation of the ongoing cycles we exist within.
